Sai is a student at Aravinda High School and talks about his experience attending the ATL workshop hosted at ZPHS High School in Movva. At first he was very nervous but after meeting the instructors he quickly started picking up information. On the first day they learned the basics and got introduced to the program they would be using. On the second day they continued working with the program and also worked on assembly. During this Sai talks about how he made lots of friends. On the third day, they started various application based activities including a satellite dish antenna activity. Finally on the fourth day they used a telescope to observe a telephone tower and even local satellites and then they took a test to show the skills they have learned over the past 4 days. Sai finishes off by talking about how the intention of the workshop was to educate all the students about robotics and give insight into the field’s real world applications and how it is widely used in all fields, including Sai’s favorite, Geology.
Uttej is a student at ZPHS Kanumuru and talks about his experience attending the ATL workshop. First he learned about antennas and how they work, then they were given cell phones that they disassembled to examine all the components inside. After this they looked at laptops too and were tasked with designing their own antennae. Initially Uttej felt that it was a very daunting task but he says after completing the activity that designing an antennae is very easy for him now. He had a similar experience with the Dish antennae activity. He concludes the video by expressing his gratitude towards all of the instructors at the workshop and all the people who sponsored him to be able to attend the workshop.
Deekshita is a 9th grade student at Sri Mandava Kanakaiah high school. She talks about her experience attending the ATL workshop. First she learned the basics about antennas and networks and then got some hands-on experience with a disassembled cell phone. She found the internal components to be very fascinating, in particular the small cellular antenna due to how much work it does despite its small size. On the second day she learned how to create her own antennae and on the third she created her own dish antennae. Similar to Uttej she describes how she struggled at first but with the help of the instructors she completed the task and is now very confident in her knowledge and skills. Finally on the fourth day she describes how they reviewed the information in the morning and had an exam to test their newfound skills. She concludes her experience by saying how she enjoyed the experience of the workshop and the opportunity to make new friends. She adds that she will share her knowledge with her friends from her hometown and that she is very grateful for everyone who helped her attend the workshop and all the instructors who helped her throughout the workshop.
